Undergraduate Summer Fellowship Program in Vision Science
June 1-July 28, 2017
The Center for Visual Science at the University of Rochester announces its 2017 Summer Research Fellowship Program in Vision Science. Undergraduates in their junior (3rd) year during the 2016-2017 academic year of baccalaureate studies interested in neuroscience, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, and biomedical science are invited to join the Center for Visual Science for a summer of supervised laboratory training. Applicants will be selected based on academic achievements and an interest in pursuing graduate studies in science. Both US and foreign applications will be accepted.
Our fellowship will cover travel for US citizens and permanent residents (and up to $500 in travel costs for foreign students) and cover the majority of on-campus housing expenses for non-local students in addition to a stipend of $3,820 for a summer of continuous training in a faculty member's lab. Training will also include an orientation, weekly talks from CVS faculty, & a poster session and CVS picnic at summer’s end. Rochester, located near Lake Ontario in western New York, is an internationally recognized center for visual and imaging science and provides a scenic and natural setting for a variety of outdoor activities.
Note: This program is for undergraduate students ONLY. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows interested in the Center for Visual Science should contact the faculty member(s) who fits their areas of interest directly.
